Fetishism in Sound is een collectief Arnhemmers die geluidsgebeurtenissen organiseren.
We organiseren geregeld Meet-Ups, dit zijn informele bijeenkomsten waarin verschillende elementen van geluid en de interesses van de aanwezigen in geluid aan bod komen op verschillende manieren. Fetishism in Sound is een Arnhems
geluidscollectief. Een netwerk van mensen die een fascinatie voor geluid delen.
We
organiseren iedere maand een informele en interactieve bijeenkomst.
Geluids-expositie op zaterdag 21 en zondag 22 juni in OMSTAND.
Van 12:00 tot 17:00 uur
Een kennismaking met de veelzijdige wereld van geluid en geluidskunst. Met
geluidsinstallaties, audiovisuele werken, geluidsperformances, workshops, interactieve
situaties en publieksparticipatie.
Met Puck Wacki, Arya Rambod, Kate Rissiek (Canada) , Rob Groot Zevert, Floris van Rijswijk, Akuma Aizawa (Spanje) + een doorlopend
videoprogramma in het Trafohuisje.

Fetishism In Sound
2013
Fetishism in Sound; een exploratie van geluidsfetisjisme en de geheime wereld van geluid. Zaterdag 29 en zondag 30 juni 2013 is de Hommelstrip in Arnhem hoorbaar. Optredens, workshops, installaties en een audiotour allemaal rondom het thema geluidsfetisjisme.
P>Geluidsfetisjist: persoon m/v besmet met het ontdekken en maken van geluid. In ieder stukje metaal, kapot stuk (batterij bevattend) speelgoed, stukje electronica of tak zit een potentieel instrument en heeft een geheime bovennatuurlijke kracht om nieuw onontdekt geluid te zijn.In en rond Arnhem zijn diverse groepen, projecten en mensen bezig met het maken van geluid, geluidskunst, noise, klankbeelden, electronische muziekinstrumenten, etc. Dit gebeurt soms op een podium of op een (radio)zender maar dikwijls ongezien. Hoewel deze initiatieven vaak een eigen podium of publiek hebben blijft dit voor de stad, al dan niet bewust, ondergronds.
De periode dat MoBA 2013 Arnhem onderdompelt met Fetishism in Fashion lijkt het ideale moment om het Fetisjisme voor Geluid te manifesteren. Maar ook is 2013 de 100e verjaardag van The Art of Noises, het manifest dat Luigi Russolo schreef over, jawel, geluiden. En dan nog een zijstap: In de eerste Gonzo (circus) van dit jaar is een nieuw muzikaal manifest opgenomen met de titel: “Wij eisen een nieuwe toekomst van muziek, en een muzikale toekomst’ Fetishism in Sound wil ook reageren op dit manifest.
